Dear Church Family,
Over the past few days, we have been monitoring COVID-19. I have personally felt the heaviness of the decisions that we have to make as a church family about gathering. After a lot of meetings, discussions, and times of prayer; the pastoral staff and I have decided to cancel our Sunday morning gathering for this coming week. However, we will be streaming service at 10 am through our Livestream and Facebook Live. You can check LiveStream out at http://www.nflchurch.com/livestream.html or you can go to our Facebook page.
It is a serious thing to cancel the church gathering, and this decision was not done lightly. We believe that this is the best way for us to love one another by helping to slow down the potential spread of the disease. As followers of Jesus, we are not to be swept away with panic, rumors, or overreaction. Instead, we are to have a solid trust in God that allows us to make wise and timely decisions that are good for the church family and help glorify God. That is how the leadership team tried to make this decision.
We will continue to communicate with you through email, Facebook, and the webpage. Our plan right now is to decide one Sunday at a time. Each week we will let you know by Friday morning about the coming Sunday. We want to care for the people in our church family and in our city. Don’t be afraid; instead, look for ways to love the people around you with thoughtful acts of service. It could be a good time to check on neighbors or to pick up groceries for church members. Do whatever loving act God puts on your heart.
For His Name Sake,
